History:
The American Icon of the Seas (Icon Class) is part of Royal Caribbean International’s groundbreaking generation of cruise ships, first announced in 2016. The Icon Class was developed with a strong focus on sustainable technology, including LNG (liquefied natural gas) propulsion, advanced energy systems, and a bold redesign of onboard entertainment and leisure.
The first ship of this class, Icon of the Seas (Icon Class), entered service in 2024 and set new records in the cruise industry. Building on that success, Royal Caribbean expanded the fleet with additional vessels, including the American Icon of the Seas (Icon Class).
The American Icon of the Seas (Icon Class) was designed to the highest modern standards, combining state-of-the-art green technology with luxurious accommodations, diverse dining, and a wide range of entertainment venues. It was conceived not just as a cruise ship, but as a floating city designed to host thousands of guests while maintaining Royal Caribbean’s commitment to sustainability.
With the American Icon of the Seas (Icon Class), Royal Caribbean continues to lead the global cruise market, reinforcing its vision for the future and showcasing both innovation and unmatched luxury at sea.
